Floor preparation · Perth

A good finish starts
with the floor below it.

Grinding, patching and levelling are part of preparing a substrate for new flooring. The work needed depends on the existing surface and the floor finish you choose.

Repairs & finishing

Send photos of damaged planks, vinyl, trims or steps. Tell us whether matching spare flooring is available.

Discuss the edges and transitions too.

Scotia, transition strips, trims and stair nosings should be scoped with the flooring. Photos of doorways and steps help us understand the finishing work.

Why we don’t give one preparation price for every floor.

A floor can look sound and still have high spots, residue or level changes that affect the new finish. Photos are a useful starting point, but a site assessment may be needed. Your quote should state the included preparation, assumptions and exclusions. Additional work needs to be discussed before proceeding.
